Still Out There

Post by d findley »

They are still out there. I just picked this up from an ole time collector from Arizona. Original owner was Edwards "Pete" Brown. Brown was a gun writer and friend of Mr. Ruger.

Where in Arizona does this collector hide out? Maybe he has some old Blackhawks he would like to part with.

This guy is in Phoenix. I already interrogated him about other Rugers. Too late, they are long gone.

Don you come up with the greatest stuff. I am amazed at some of the things Ruger people have. That is the proverbial hens tooth!

In 1950 Ruger decided to make a target model of his very successful Standard pistol. They were numbered (hand stamped) X3, X4, X5, X6, X13, & X32. These target pistols were given to Friends for testing. X32 was saved for a future museum. Not all the numbers between 6 & 32 were used. These are the ones I can confirm.
