Ruger-57

Post by ruger » Wed Jan 15, 2020 9:01 am

Oh... I want one of these BAD....
Just throw away the trigger safety... (Elmers glue works well too)

I've been watching Five-Seven's since they came out, first ones had problems, and now they are ridiculously priced.

I hope Ruger SMOKE'S them!

The Ruger-57 is retailing around here for $609 and our main shop can't keep em. The FN five-seven is a fine weapon but is still priced higher than most would like. I believe Ruger will have a hit with theirs. It's surprising that other manufacturers haven't jumped on board with the round but I'll bet you'll see more offerings in the next few years now that Ruger has done it.

Actually I'd like the compact version.

Shot one....
This is a firearm "type" is not familiar with, polymer and striker fire, but it was comfortable, accurate, and recoil was surprisingly very (very) low.
If you can get over polymer and no hammer, this would be a fun pistol for the (rifle) range pushing distance.
When they make a carry version, I might just get over that. (it's BIG)
A non-polymer version would be even better in a compact FOR weight, it's fairly light gun.

I am really looking forward to buying one when the scalping is over,, ;) .
Glad you got to at least handle and fire one. I do believe there will be other versions to follow also.
