Thanks Steve, Bill & WT! The 76' and 53' shoot great. I'm fully confident the 50' would also, but again, that is my 1st Ruger Pistol "collectable" and My Safe Queen!
Believe I now have a "2nd collectable". For too long, I've tried (through several unsuccessful on-line bids) to obtain the rare MkI Heavy Taper Target T514 Black Eagle. My recent post in the -Want To Buy- section brought some PM's with interesting proposals (thanks to Tom, Steve and Bill)! TEMIII offered me one from His T514 collectable inventory...greatly appreciate his generosity (must have felt pity for me)!!
It arrived safely in a very good 95% condition and after detailed cleaning, some polishing the exterior and lubing all the action and bolt assemblies (didn't really need it, but all part of my new ownership MO), this 1953 5 1/4" Black Eagle (another birth year!) is a Really Sweet MkI addition. The target trigger is very crisp (no creep), has little PT, no OT and a very nice break-like-glass 2.5# pull! Balance is excellent with POA being quick and precise!
Tom says my timing was right, so guess my wait has paid off! Knowing its rarity and condition, I'm reluctant to shoot it, but what the heck...have to discover how accurate she can be!!
