I am not sure what you are asking?
They, Ruger, produced and/or commissioned 5 of what I would call "Special Edition" guns that were offered through select distributors. Almost all have engraving and/or inscriptions. These are the one I know of.

1) 1 Of 100 engrave on both sides of the slide with simulated ivory grip panels and red logo.

2) 1 of 100 right side of slide has two crossed muskets with the numbers "12" and "2" on the top and bottom of the cross. The left side is inscribed with "TASK FORCE LETHAL WARRIOR" and "OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM". The wood grip panels are engraved "RANGER WARRIOR" with an emblem with the number "4" in the middle.

3) 1 of 300 engraved on both sides of the hi-polished slide and trimmed in gold. Inscribed on the left side with " THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS" and the right side with "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED". The grips are simulated ivory with a bald eagle and scroll work etched in. ( see picture)

4) 1 of 300 engraved on both sides of the hi-polished slide with gold trim. Inscribed on the left with "PROTECTING AMERICA'S FREEDOM" and on the right with "FREEDOM ISN'T FREE". Simulated ivory grip panels have scroll work and the letters "USA" in gold.

5) 1 of 500 All blue "Navy Seal" with the left side having the Navy Seal emblem and the right side the Ruger logo. The sides of the slide are hi-polished and the balance matted. the wood grip panels have about a 60% basket weave carving and the Ruger logo carved in the middle.

These are all I am aware of, if you know of others I would like to hear about them. I hope this answers your question.

Vince,
Wow! On #2, I did that! There were 176 of them. My son was Commander of the 2-12 Infantry of the 4th Infantry Division in Afghanistan from March-December 2012. This was their "Deployment Weapon". Most of these have a personalized inscription under the ejection port.
This was a fun, but difficult, project to coordinate. Baron did the work and they were all shipped to Specialty Sports in Colorado Springs, where Ft. Carson is.

Lee,
Thanks for the info. I always though there was something different about this gun. You say there were 179 and the gun says 1 of 100? Do you know why or how that is? Mine has an emblem behind the ejector port?

I would love to have some documentation to put with his gun. If you have, or can make copies, of any thing that tells the story I would appreciate them.

I had to resize these pictures so I hope you can see them clearly.
