RENE low #RSS4R 128605, Some very early RSS4R guns had the full serial # stamped or scratched into the back of grip panels,,worth a peek,, ;)

Thanks for the response... that is what my 2011 rene guide has in it. One I saw recently I have to go back and verify the sn. However, it did not have factory grips on it... bummer... will let you all know if it comes home to me. It will be good addition to earliest rss5 roundgate sister..

fishhuntnut… your 128591 is now the earliest RSS4 I have noted, besting 128605 as the previous earliest known.
I have a feeling these early random sn's were holdover frames that finally made it to assembly while the block of about 1,000 RSS4's were being made in the 134xxx to early 135xxx block.
Hey just thought... if there were any 4-5/8" tubes leftover from discontinuing the Lightweight, this would have been a great way to get those used up!
