I believe you are correct. Note also the shape of the front toe and rear heal of the grip frames... XR3 are much pointier.
When I enlarged the photograph I wasn't able to see the XR3-RED, but do believe it is.
Also, the red and green XR3 grip frames have the large Alcoa G which means they were probably made sometime up to October 1957.

I recall many years ago in conversations with Jeff M,Jack B. and Walt H.,, something was mentioned about High Standard and their colors for the Double NInes, High Sierra, , and other of the double action 22 caliber revolvers, and Sentinals..........the old man did lots of stuff with those other companies back in them days, even Marlin, or used them as comparison?? ( competition??)who knows if only.. 8-) :roll: ;)
Laura had gotten hers from Tom way back........ ;) sold spares to Bob C.........
