Well I bought one 600 and change, guess I'll find out.
I got a blue 44-40 for my brother, I wonder if that was old model.

The 44-40 should be an original Vaquero, do not think Ruger made any New Vaqueros in 44-40.

That was my guess, so what it get might not be quite the same.
I'll have to read up on the differences.
