"Ruger and His Guns" 80th Birthday Vaquero Premier ed. #21/100

Post by Rugerologist »

Does anyone else have one of these licensed Vaquero sets? These were sold in 1999 for $3295 for the Premier Edition and $1800 for the Classic. Made to celebrate WBR's 80th birthday. There were only 100 Premiers and 400 Classics. Frankly, I prefer Classic but I've never seen one. Here is the documentation for the Premier Edition which was acquired for $1500. Names and some info have been altered on the documents to protect the identity of the original owner.

I have the Classic version that I have displayed on my Sparkle & Shine Display that some day I may display in Tulsa along with my other engraved Ruger's. Nice GUN's IMHO!

Thanks, guys. When these were new I was a senior in high school. Certainly couldn't have afforded one new and if I had it would have been the classic anyway! This one is a bit too fancy for my tastes but was a good deal not to be passed up.

Very nice Chuck, You have to "Go For The Set" now!!!
Embarrassingly, I've never seen one or read about them in the plethora of S & R Inc. and related memorabilia I've collected.
