Just picked up a Brass Framed.357 BH with no conversion done. I'd say it's right between 80% and 90%.
It has aftermarket Fitz stag grips and the brass frame has the correct Ruger factory markings but no letter.
Fingers crossed that it is actually a b model.
Does anyone know how many 4 5/8 in barrel model's were made with a brass frame?

Re: Ruger .357 Brass Frame
What is the serial number, I will check John Dougan's s/n list.

Is your gun an "Old Model", three screw or a New Model? Your question is posted under New Models. Brass Frame/Lee
Re: Ruger .357 Brass Frame
Its an Old Model according to its serial number but hate to say that its not on John's list.

Lattop44. Thanks for checking it out. I knew buying it that it was more than likely not one of the original B models but being that it is a factory ruger brass frame casting I am still very happy with the purchase.
It's also my favorite barrel length.

Re: Ruger .357 Brass Frame
If your brass frame gun is still in the range of a Brass framed gun, and I'm saying it must have a 31- prefix, then give the factory a call to see if it will letter.
I think John's lists are probably at least 95% complete, but there are guns that letter as brass that do not show up on his lists. Can think of at least a couple BKH41B for example.
And I know for sure all of the brass Old Army's aren't listed.
