Blackhawk "Set" of Three Convertibles

I know what I paid for each, but my question is are they keeping their value?
My best set is not matching serial numbers (I dont think they were ever offered in "sets").

one Buckeye Special Blackhawk in 32 H&R Magnum, with separate cylinder in 32-20.
one Buckeye Special Blackhawk in 10mm, with separate cylinder in .38-40.
one (Jerry's Sports South?) Blackhawk in 44 Remington Magnum, with a separate cylinder in .44-40.

Original boxes and shippers and factory stuff. The .38-40 cylinder (gun) has been fired gently for an article but all others are unfired...

These are blued, steel grip-framed, adjustable-sighted guns, not the fixed-sight Vaquero recent guns.
Interesting that the 44/44-40 is a Blackhawk with a square-back trigger guard normally found on a SBH. 8-)

Are they holding their value today or are the top-condition convertibles not as much? Gift value?

From what I see both Buckeyes have really gone up in value. The 44/44-40 also,. You have some good guns and good investment.

As noted,, those guns are enjoying attention from both shooters & collectors.
I have a matching number set of the Buckeye's,, but don't have the 44-40. I wouldn't sell mine.

I've no intention of selling off my best set, but I've accumulated more than one. (Kinda my gun-crack for a few years)
I don't find many Buckeye guns with everything sell below $800-900 (if you see one please send details), and the 44/44-40 below $1000 for a complete pkg. Going up every gun show - remember gun shows? .
Thoughts on real-world values?

Convertibles make the most sense to me. Why spend money on single-caliber Ruger SAs?
If my safes held only Contenders/Encores and Ruger SA (adjustable-sight) Convertibles, I'd be a whole lot smarter.

All three guns mentioned NIB, all three are mated two digit #57 guns. Took 22 years to find the S4440 and I bought it from RUGER!! ;)
I wrote these up on the Rugerforum years back, posted "The Quest"

Terry, that's a great triple set!! Your quest certainly paid off. That would be a great article for the ROCS Digest magazine.

Value is a nebulous thing. Better queries might be:
What would you pay....
And what would you sell for...

And the question no one asks: what would your insurance claims guy pay you if lost? (Old firefighter question) :D

I have all three as well and I also paid under a 1000.00 each two years ago and noticed that the 44/40 has jumped alot , buckeyes are 1200.00- 1400.00 and as said it really amounts to what someone will pay but it looks like the market is good, but wait until after election this year the other side might devalue everything one never knows. excellent guns I very much enjoyed mine, and don't forget the maximum values up as well.
