I have asked Ruger for many years for a Redhawk with the GP lockwork and grip stud. The Super just looks funny to me, like the barrel looks like a pipe sticking out of the gun, and the Redhawk just never fit my hand, no matter what grip I tried on it. So, they finally do it, but in .357 mag??? And with a crazy looking shrouded barrel with cuts in it? I would really love this with a regular barrel in .44 Mag!

With the 8 shot capacity it is being geared toward competition use, especially seeing it is made for using moon clips and is coming out of the custom shop. I like the way it looks.

Just went to the custom shop section and it looks like Ruger wants to make some inroads into the revolver competitions. I wonder what the street price will be?

I had my hands on the one on display at the NRA show and it really felt good in my big hands. I do not shoot competitively any more but if I did I would consider buying one.
