Howdy all, new member here.
So I picked up this 3” GP100 last year that has an import stamp of CAI Georgia VT.
Got the Ruger Letter and said it shipped to E. Nichols Distributors Quebec, Canada.
Guessing it may have went to local PD since there is no other markings.
Anybody else have one, or know any more about these guns?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

That’s cool Terry. I am looking forward to seeing what you got. A seller at a small gun show here in VA had 3 4” CAI marked guns. Asked him about them and he did not realize they were imports! Well worn but interesting none the less.

The one I saw a few years back (and stupidly did NOT buy! ) was a 4-inch blued 38 with the compact grips.

Wow Terry, that one looks to be in amazing condition. You got a good find there.
Will be interesting to see where yours was shipped to in the Ruger letter.
I have never seen a 4” blued one.

This one sold on Gunbroker today for $360. Definitely worse for wear and the barrel was pitted and shot out.

Nice finds, both of you. I saw a half lug, fixed sight GP100 i357' in our area a couple years ago on Armslist. Next time I'll know to check for markings. It was listed for $450 and looked good from pictures.

Received my letter back from Ruger Records on my GP-100 model KGPF-340 revolver Ser.#171-88807. It was produced in January 1992 and shipped to Nicholls Distributors in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada in March 1992.[Note:-F in model # for fixed sights]

While I was at it I also re-lettered the only known (reported) Re-Imported Ruger Police Service Six Model # SDA-85H, Ser.#160-94838. There were only 135 of these revolvers produced for the R.C.M.P., and there were 15 over-run guns sold in the USA also. These are the only revolvers made in the entire -Six series to have 5" barrels. 150 revolvers total.

It was produced in February 1984 and shipped to Nicholls distributors in Montreal,Quebec, Canada in March 1984.

Letter from Gulf State Distributors listing 10 of the 15 guns available in the USA.
