Tried a new accessory

Post by contender »

I recently received an accessory for my GP-100 MC in 10mm.
It's an extended cylinder release for competition. It looks a little funny,, but it sure works VERY, VERY well. My speed reloads seemed quicker & smoother today at my local USPSA match. And it must have worked because my scores reflected a "good day" at the match.
Hogue makes the cylinder release lever,, and I LIKE it.

Now,, I know some folks have no need for such a device,, and that's fine. But I wanted to give a review of it for those who MIGHT like one.

Definitely not a EDC cylinder release. That would have been handy back in the days when I shot PPC.

You are right,, not EDC friendly,, or at least not as friendly as the normal release button.

But it's not as profound as you might think. But it sure does make releasing the cylinder easier for me!
