A pair of old 257 Roberts

Post by ruger66 »

These are a pair of old 257 Roberts 77's. The bottom is a 257 77ST not really rare but kind of scarce. The top one I would call rare. It is a 77PL in 257. They are only around a thousand numbers a part.

If it can't be a Flatbolt or a Hollow Bolt, this vintage of M77, the 70-5XXXX series is my favorite. The M77ST in the Roberts has always been on my want list, but I have yet to acquire one! Did get a 7x57 ST in this range recently.

Very nice pair of rifles you have there, the M77's are great bolt actions. I have a small collection of them but they made so many variations I have to be selective.

Very Nice pair Ruger66, as 67stingray states on the M77's there are so many variations its tough to collect them.
I decided to go simple with my collection and stuck to the 1976 models. There are four versions and 15 calibers with all the variety you could want, including some scarce pieces in the lineup. I still need the 1976 Liberty 7.62/.308 which only came as a M77V model. Ruger66 If you run across one give me a shout.
