OHP- the Mini-14 different

Post by telecaster »

I'm seeking more details about the Mini-14 OHP model. A special order for 1300 guns was placed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1979. Their stocks feature a red recoil pad, side sling through a butt-stock cut-out like an M-1 Carbine, and an extra-long pull measurement.

I don't know anything about it, but I sure do like it! :D Really like the M1 carbine style stock.

Nice Mini, the number made still stands at 1300 per the Red Eagle News Exchange. Pretty dang scarce rifle.

Great looking rifle. I agree about liking the carbine style stock. I would feel safe "riding the river" with that one at hand...

Would love to get my hands on a OHP mini 14. Any idea if anyone has one out there who wants to sell or trade. I’ve been a Trooper for 16 years and would love to have one!!!

Hope you find one. Thanks for serving on the side of good. Being a Trooper is not an easy job.

If your OHP marked Mini-14 has a black folding synthetic stock then I would think the stock has been changed sometime during its history and therefore not original.
