M77 All Weather Collection Seeking Missing Variants

Post by Rugerologist »

All, one of our members who is a very private individual has asked me for our help with a collection that he's assembling. The following photos and guns are his. He is looking for the variants that are missing to include calibers, barrel lengths, and green inserts. Below are photos of the collection and a listing of calibers and SNs in his collection. I've made him promise that if we can help him put this collection together that he will display them in Tulsa. Any and all help is appreciated in this task. I'll put those serious about helping in touch with him directly but he wishes to keep his identity off the public forum. Please let me know if you have any questions for him. Thanks for any and all help. Below are .22, 22 mag, 22-250, and .223

One .270 and the 7.62X39 have a nice plum color.

Some info that I pulled for him to start referencing and the SNs he's got.

That's a great set of M77's there, I'll keep my eyes out for the ones he's missing.

There was a K77/17HMR I did not see on either list, not sure if a catalog version, but what I figured was a clean up run through Davidsons a few years ago. I know as I had one through Arizona Arms. Sold to a member on Rugerforum a while ago. Academy Sports had a blue 77/17hmr on the shelf for months that I was watching a few years ago but do not know much about it.

Bennett, thank you for any and all assistance!

Rocdoc, you are correct and I totally overlooked that fact missing in the chart. My father actually has one of the .17 HMR models.

Are there any others known that aren't listed?

Chuck, is he looking for unused examples with boxes or will good used ones fill his needs? I sent you a PM about a 7mm -08.
