I'm looking at this 10/22 from 1996 that has what looks like a walnut stock with checkering. The Blue Book says that later Internationals have birch stocks and there is no info on a 10/22x in this series in the Reference. Did Ruger stain the birch stocks to look like walnut, could it be maple, is it a replacement stock or is this gun unusual?
Never mind, I figured it out. Probably a model 1133, 10/22RBI BBZ but is after the known SN range (243-50837). Super condition with the sling at $800.
What a moroon! I think I finally have it. It's a plain old RBI with a leather Hunter sling added. Very nice gun in excellent condition but maybe over priced? Thanks for following my Odessy through the Reference. I'll get the hang of it.
