A Rare 77RS in 358win

This is not one of the short barreled ones made in the 90's. This gun would of been produced in 78. The gun was cataloged in 1978 and gone in 79. This is the first one I have ever seen. Chad has one number recorded and Burkes book said he had not heard of one. I mounted a small variable Burris on it. I might give it a try this fall.

Vaughn, I bought one in Tulsa once that would letter as an "R", twice. Not only that but it was listed as a 358 Win. Mag.!

I bet it was a 71 prefix. TW told me he has seen them and they won't letter. The RS wasn't cataloged until 78 that would be mine a 73 prefix.

I have a 358 win without sights serial number 71-377XX so circa 1975. I still have the redpad stored away in mint condition.

Nice setup and the .358 is a round that should have been way more popular
