Very nice! I did not realize barreled actions were offered that late. How did you come across this?

My Mauser buddy saw it at a local auction and bought it knowing I could not resist... :P still NIB although the box has lots of handling marks...

Brownells was still selling barreled actions in the '90s. When they were getting out of them (or Ruger stopped marketing them), an LGS I used to haunt had several that were very tempting, including an RSI in 7x57. I thought that would be the bees knees with a 1A wood set on it, versus the RSI wood.

Barreled actions may even still be available today if one asks.
Doing research on the #3 in .44 Mag. I found there were also at least five #3 barreled actions in .44 Mag.! Who'd have thunk it?

Just saw an unusual #1 this weekend. A dual marked .280 Rem/7mm Express 132-64xxx gun. Has a 26" medium weight barrel with sights and a beavertail forearm.
Looked the serial number up on Ruger's web page and it came back as a 9358 1B barreled action in .280.
There was no Ruger address on the barrel but the dual caliber stamping was factory. I'm thinking somebody added the front sight, but if it comes back as a 9358 1B without sights barreled action, guess it would not be possible to know if came out of the factory with a front sight or not.
