Ruger Ties by Vineyard Vines

Post by LIBERTY FOREVER »

Custom Ties by Vineyard Vines, 100% Silk. I'm not sure on the history or licensing of these but I don't see them very often and was happy to pick up a few. Does anyone know how many colors they put out or what year?

I believe different colors were offered on Ruger's website a few years ago.

I spoke with Kimberly of Vineyard Ties and they said it was a Ruger Co. order and not available in stores. The last production date was approximately 4.5 years ago so it’s very possible they were available in the Ruger Shop as Chet mentions or as Company gifts. That’s all I could get from the vendor.

Gene, I have one of the red ones with the tag and box it came in. No other mention of Ruger other than the logo on the tie itself. I got it for a good price, when I see them there normally asking over $100 for them. I've only seen the red and green like the ones that you show pictures of.

I wont be styling WT, these are going in my display case. I'll keep wearing the zippered ones that I buy at Dollar General. According to Bennett the purchasing agent I did ok, I had no idea when I grabbed them. I paid $100 for the Red and $45 for the Green, with that ole cost averaging I'm in for under $75 apiece. I'm really excited,,,,Then Terry the logistician chimed in with "I believe there is a yellow one also." Now I'm really in the hunt and have no doubt it will end up taking me 3 years and over a hundred bucks to find a yellow one. So much for my DEAL!!! There's probably one that's double stamped as well as one prefixed with an X.

Terry do you have a Yellow One by chance?

Thanks for the information Gents, I do appreciate it, Gene

Terry is right, they did offer a yellow one and I think original cost was $85. Here's a pic of the green and yellow but I don't know where to get one.
