Texas Panhandle pheasant populations have taken a hard hit over the years for a variety of reasons but in some areas now they have made a huge comeback. :!: Dr.CImage

Molly is a beautiful dog!!

Being a dog person I must say that Molly is a pretty one. Looks game and ready to go! The pheasant though is also a gorgeous bird. We never see them here. Rarely, a quail and it's mostly feral cats that are to blame.

We used to have lots of pheasants in our area back in the '50s and '60s but now we are hard pressed to find a wild one! I won a hunt on a hunting preserve last year but the weather was so wet last year we put it off until this fall.
