Don,
Isn't that a prototype? Does John D. have it?

John has several of the "X" numbered prototype Hawkeyes. No certain if he has X12.
Re: Hawkeye #X12
No, But I wish I had!!!
In my opinion the Hawkeye is the "coolest" (is that even a word?!?) Ruger ever.
I never was much in to the collecting side until I saw my first Hawkeye......
Now I'm toast!
Cheers,
JAY
I do not "own" these guns, I am but the next caretaker

Re: Hawkeye #X12
I remembered seeing some Hawkeyes while there so I had to ask him. John does have some prototypes in collection but not this particular one.

Records note some 50+ of these rascals have lived with the RSSE girls over the past 40+ years. While many have gone down the trail to other custodians, I never tire of seeing them and observing the finite variations amongst them. It remains a challenge to obtain crisp examples of the RH28 2 piece box.

Saw #13 and X13 long time ago.......................
