John has several of the "X" numbered prototype Hawkeyes. No certain if he has X12.

No, But I wish I had!!!

In my opinion the Hawkeye is the "coolest" (is that even a word?!?) Ruger ever.
I never was much in to the collecting side until I saw my first Hawkeye......
Now I'm toast!

I remembered seeing some Hawkeyes while there so I had to ask him. John does have some prototypes in collection but not this particular one.

Records note some 50+ of these rascals have lived with the RSSE girls over the past 40+ years. While many have gone down the trail to other custodians, I never tire of seeing them and observing the finite variations amongst them. It remains a challenge to obtain crisp examples of the RH28 2 piece box.
