The Straight Shooter

Post by d findley »

Joe Bowman, "The Straight Shooter" Houston, Texas. Joe was a exhibition/ fast draw shooter. Taught many celebrities to shoot. Shown here are a pair of modified Single Sixes in .38 Special caliber which Joe engraved himself & a pair of engraved & modified Blackhawks. Ruger gave Bowman a pair of Factory engraved Vaqueros in 1984.

That man could really shoot !! Remember him entertaining us at an awards banquet ...think it was in Houston. Threee shots with a single action Ruger sounded like one boom.

JAYDAWG you took the words right out of my mouth about the side burns and fancy ride! Don sure does come up with some great things on here. I don't even know what I would offer for such a fine outfit. Whole lotta marbles for sure and then some other desirable goodies such as a case of Moon Pies and a pair of Brogan shoes.... I might even offer a leisure suit for the aspiring country gentleman
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...
