Mystery easily solved that it is a Super Bearcat when revealing the complete serial number. I sure would like to see the factory paperwork where Ruger installed a wide spur hammer that was not part of a safety kit installation. Never heard of that type "custom work" being done by Ruger.

I understand, I too have found myself in that position. Liked it, wanted it and paid to much for it. But you only go around once so if it's what you want you go for it. I rely like the combination of stag, brass, and steel, very nice!
