SR1911 Light weight

Post by Charlie1022 »

Picked up the new SR1911 light weight a week ago and finally got time to try it yesterday. It shot just as good as it feels in the hand. I only had time to run 50 rounds through it with Winchester white box 230 gr. It preformed flawlessly!! Ruger solved the feed ramp problem common on alloy frames with a titanium insert on the feed ramp. Many great features for the money and will make it another great carry gun as soon as I add a set of Crimson Trace laser grips. Maybe they will offer them soon right from Ruger.

When I first picked up the LW Commander, I bought it and sold my Kimber. I carry one everyday now. My favorite 1911 that I ever owned.

I believe my Ruger performs as well or better than my Kimber. At least in my hands :D

Found this 9mm used in recent weeks. It's quickly turning into my favorite semi-auto.
