IHMSA SBH

Post by dkdeuel »

I think I did well?
I won a bid on Gun Broker for an IHMSA 1of 500 Super Blackhawk 10.5" (#26-500). Since it was an Idaho FFL I opted to pick it up in person. I paid or it, the Background Check and the sales tax and as we were finishing up, the clerk casually mentioned that it came from the collection of Elgin Gates! You young guys may never have heard of him, but he was one of the founding fathers of combat shooting and silhouette shooting. My bid price was stupid low for what this is and it came with both shipping boxes, the display case and all paperwork. It may not be a Holy Grail gun, but it's a heck of an addition to my humble little collection.

Having one of Elgin Gates is definitely cool. That is a great compete package.
