Don Findley ROCS Historian

Post by Brass Frame »

Has everyone received your October, 2019 AMERICAN RIFLEMAN magazine? Look closely at page 46 to read a very informative article by our own ROCS Historian, Don Findley! Don has really brought Rugers to the forefront with a 70th anniversary story about the first gun made by Sturm/Ruger. Wonderful photos, a picture of the very first prototype Standard Auto and lots of other accouterments are included in his article. My compliments to a job well done Don! You make us all proud. You guys get your American Rifleman sometime before me. Mine arrived today and I read the article first thing. It was very well done and should make some new Ruger collectors. I like that you didn't get into the collectability necessarily but gave it a historical perspective. Some of the readers probably don't understand how special that package is on the opening page or that those R.C.M..P pistols are unobtainable! Don, congratulations! You're a great ambassador of the Ruger brand and ROCS.
