Kuhnhausen shop manuals?

Post by RocDoc »

Anyone familiar with the Kuhnhausen shop manuals?

Need to fit a sear in a K frame and all the S&W guys said his book a great resource. Found he has one on Ruger DA revolvers and another on Ruger SA revolvers, and several other titles as well. Any thoughts on the Ruger books?

I have 4 of his books, The Ruger Single Action Revolvers, The Ruger Double Action Revolvers, The Colt Double Action Revolvers and The Colt .45 Automatic.

These are some of the best books for working on firearms and I would recommend them to ANYONE who owns a firearm that he wrote a book on. Not only does it give you all the ins and outs of how to repair/maintain the firearms it kind of acts as a reference also.

Late hit, but I own 4-5 of his shop manuals and pick them up when I can find them. If one can read an engineering drawing and follow mostly step by step instructions, they are books you will keep long after your eyes fade!

Great info on the Ruger security-six series DA/SA guns and the Colt 1911 book is required for any 1st-year gunsmith!

I recommend
