I picked up a type 1 RSS Flat Gate that has had the transfer bar conversion done. I am in the process of replacing the conversion with some original parts and noticed an "R" stamped on the under side of the cylinder frame where it mates up with the grip frame. Had not seen this before. I'm guessing that this is something the factory did when they converted a gun???
Enlighten me team ROCS. See the pics.
Cheers,
JAY

Ill Eagle! I think you have your tribal name Jay... Nice looking revolver and the coloring is great.
Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Thanks men.
No matter what angle and lighting used, I just can't capture the true colors in a picture.
But, ya, like the reds & golds in the early RSS guns & then when the plum kicks in ....WOW
love it!
Cheers,
JAY

Jay,
To me that is the hardest color to get right in photos. Maybe there is a filter you can use. Maybe someone with a lot of photo experience can offer some tips for taking good pics of the plum/red/gold streak guns. I have a couple that I would like to have good pictures of.

To accentuate the colors in a photo use a purple or deep red background, preferably velvet, indirect lighting with maybe a little blue/red color light to make them pop. A good digital photo manipulation app will also allow you to color-balance for best effect.
Very nice 3-digit by the way.
