This old beat up red eagle came in to my possession today, my first one. Probably shouldn’t have, but it was cheap, and will make the wait for a real nice 4 digit a little bit more tolerable
Didn’t notice until I got home that it has a blued trigger.
1951 Standard pistol
Re: 1951 Standard pistol
If it falls within the s/n range of 17,273 to 21,808 it is a type 9.

Some people sit on $.05 of knowledge like it is the treasure of Egypt. I will teach anyone $.10 worth just to prove a point...

Great looking pistol, didn't take you long to find one
Now you need a Red Eagle Target Pistol to keep her company .
Good Hunting,
Terry

Re: 1951 Standard pistol
Thanks everyone for all generous comments! The photos show it to look a little better than it really is, probably needed more light. I’m just happy to finally have an older Standard
Hope to get a chance to strip it down sometime today. A little nervous to see what it looks like under the grips.
