Going under the knife

Post by RoninPA »

Well my back problem that cropped up this past week will, I hope, be fixed tomorrow. I have surgery to fix a very bad disk (according to the surgeon) and they will also have to fuse vertebra L4 and L5. I guess I had some pretty bad deterioration due to arthritis in that area. Doc said this should ake care of things

It has to work, Huntsviille is coming up :D

Prayers for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. Those back surgeries can sometimes be rough. I hope yours goes smoothly.

Sending positive thoughts your way. Keep your spirits up, and most importantly do exactly what the doctors say for recovery. They have come along ways since the ‘80s and ‘90s. ;)

Just went through a 4.5-5 hr spine surgery (cervical) myself a month ago. Had C3-C7 fused, and still wearing the C collar. Surgery went great! I still have a way to go with the recovery process, but everything has been good so far. All the pain related to my neck, shoulders, and arm is gone. Also have feeling in my forearm and hand again. Wife will be happy I won’t be dropping and breaking anymore coffee cups, heheh :)

Ron,
Wishing you a successful surgery and complete recovery.
I had spinal surgery a few years ago and like arcticruger said they have came along way.
