Seen it this morning. By far, my favorite modern gun writer. Don't know if anyone can fill his shoes. RIP John, you will be missed.

I had the pleasure of conversing with him when I was on a kick to collect all the different variations of SuperVel ammo. One of the hardest to find were the experimental 45 acp hollow point which has a primer placed into the hollow point cavity to help it to create more stopping power.. Found one example of that in a collection of 1500 acp cartridges a guy put together with just about every known head stamp and he gave me one of his extras…. Traffin was anInteresting guy, lots of wisdom, much of which he was willing to share. RIP…

I enjoyed my visit when he would come over to the Boise Gun Show years back!
