Do we have any new collectors out there and what do you collect? Is anyone collecting any of the new items that Ruger is making now? Just remember that by collecting them now they are much easier to find when they are new and just being introduced and the price is much better as well. Just a quick look at a new catalog or search on the Ruger web page and you can see there are a wide range of choices to chose from. I know that was how I started my laminated 10/22 collection.

Yep. That's why I started out collecting "Warning Models" in 1978.............then along came the Max in 1982. Started picking them up at way below the MSRP...........got a few laying around. Coogs.

Re: New collectors
I started the Ruger search around Dec. 2015. Started with the 44 Mag. Carbines. Was'nt long after the 10/22's. Mostly Pre-1971. Trying to get the hard to find one's, factory checkered, letter guns (B, U, S and the such). Shaking every tree I can find.

Winman, that is great! Looks like you have narrowed your collection focus and going after them. The chase is a lot of fun!! Good luck in the hunt.
