Ruger subscribers and their numbers

Post by CottonBayou »

Does anyone know if there is a compiled list of the subscribers to the Ruger low serial number subscription program and their numbers? I understand as members dropped out for whatever reason, their number was sometimes reassigned. Also, did some have more than one number? The dates that the subscription was reassigned would be valuable in knowing who's gun we now own.

If anyone has a list or even a partial list and would be willing to share, it would be a great asset to new Ruger collectors such as myself.

Best regards to all,

That program has been over for a few years now.

Would be easier for me if you let me know what numbers you want to know about. My records only cover the Ruger No.1, but many on this list got most of the others.
PM if you prefer.

ruger66, I actually did know that the Ruger subscription program has ended. By your comment are you implying that the information is no longer relevant to Ruger collecting? Tell that to those lucky or well heeled enough to have serial number 15 guns. Which was Elmer Keith's number, by the way.

Oh, I almost forgot. What about Tom Ruger's number 5 guns? I believe the association with Mr. Ruger made them more desirable than simply single digit guns. Seems like I saw a picture of one posted here recently.

Years back!
Old 'flatgate' (Carl L. ) & I put together a list of the subscription gun #'s I can look it up when I get back into SLC next week.
I own #225 Super Blackhawk LNIB, One of my first Cased Supers I acquired 25+ years ago.
