Receivers used by SE Overton

Post by ruger66 »

SE Overton made the stocks for the 10/22 from 1964-71. These are the unfinished receivers they used to check final fit.

If only those pieces of metal could talk! Did Overton make the various stocks including checkered and full length?
How about the .44 Carbine stocks? Vaughn, would you be willing to write an article for our new ROCS Digest about Overton. They played a very important part in the early history of Sturm/Ruger! We need your input along with pictures for the first Digest which will be assembled over the next two months. Please consider writing and let me know if I can help. Thanks for sharing with all Ruger Owners and Collectors. Brass Frame/Lee

Vaughn has some of the neatest items in his collection. Not sure if the factory has some of the items he has found form the early years. Sure hope he keeps sharing pictures.
