As the current Editor of the ROCS Digest, I can promise your article will be published! Prepare the article in a WORD document and download to a DVD or thumb drive. Please include some pictures of "The Chief" and yourself. Take pictures of his Rugers and awards that he might share with you!? This should make for great reading in our Spring, 2018 Digest. No worry about editing, we can take care of that with your permission. Thanks in advance: Brass Frame/Lee E

How about a big article on your dad and his contact with Ruger. In what we have talked I think a lot would be interested in his gunsmithing skills and how he worked with Ruger on projects. I]m sure others would like to here his views and memories of knowing Bill Ruger. Lets get all this on paper while he is still alive to record for history.

Andrew, I don't want to hijack the Chiefs thread but I also think an article about your dad, his work with Ruger, and all the shows he did is an outstanding idea. Maybe you should start a thread here on the subject of your father. As Charlie mentioned, all of this history is extremely important to some of us. I grew up around the genre of firearms but not the subject of Ruger like you. I know it wasn't all peaches and cream either and that's ok to say! For helping me with the photos and stories of Chief for his biography I'd be glad to pre-proofread an article for you if you'd like. I'm working on my first one for the journal too about my meeting the Chief and the journey it's leading me on.

I apologize for incorrectly using journal and digest again. I lost my grandmother Wednesday evening and have been scattered helping make arrangements for her funeral today. Again, sorry for the wrong terminology but I’ll be back to normal and working on all this in the coming week. I do know that we are a digest here! Just scattered at the moment.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother. I know what you are going through as my father in law just passed away on the 17th. Take comfort in knowing they are in a better pace now. It takes time to heal but with prayers we will make it. I got the pictures copied to a CD but need to take time to put the information from the back of them for your help of explaining them for the book.
