ROCS Digest, Spring 2018

Post by SPAS 15 »

Just received the latest ROCS Digest and again a great read and high quality through out. Particularly like the two articles on Red Labels.

Thanks to all involved.

I would recommend everyone take the time to read J.C. Gentry's article on the Texas dove hunt.

I too am looking forward to a Turnbull gun!!
I know I am a newbie here, but I vote the next gun to be a 10-22.
Hey Charlie....do you agree!?!??! ;)

Hello TEAM ROCS;
The Spring 2018 Digest is Superior in every way. I can not say enough on the professionalism concerning the variety of articles, photos, quality paper stock and brilliant glossy color printing. I'm as excited as everyone to receive my pair or Mark IV's and look forward to enjoying the serial number program.

I would like to make a recommendation concerning the lobbying of ROCS guns on threads here and there and everywhere. All good thoughts and opinions need a forum and consolidated area for conversation. Debate and review is important in order to apply a decision making process. Those that have a strong opinion on the next gun should open a singular subject area for that explicit conversation. The subject and posts would give members with a strong opinion the opportunity to debate and voice their personal preferences.

I do believe that it could serve as a useful tool in the selection of a ROCS serial numbered gun. I have modified my post to state the obvious concerning the selection of subsequent ROCS serial numbered guns. There are many additional factors that go into the selection of a serial numbered gun for a group such as ROCS and those with strong personal opinions on the next gun shouldn't be blind to those factors in the final decision.

Great job on the lasted Digest.
What a pair of MKIVs!
I'd also like to see a very special edition of the 10/22 with something more than laser etching and a plan stock. Maybe a fancy walnut furniture international with the volquartsen trigger ?

International stock sounds nice but I don’t think Ruger would make a ROCS 10-22 with aftermarket parts, just saying.
