Another 2 SR1911s

Post by O M CRAZY »

Here is a couple of 1911 you may not of seen. The 1st is a custom Commander done by Barons. A very HIGH POLISHED S/S with GOLD inlays. The second is a standard Ruger offering, an OFFICERS MODEL (6762) in .45acp. Ruger came out with an OFFICERS model in 9mm a couple of months back and have just came out with a "LIGHT WEIGHT OFFICERS Model" in 9mm. I am sure that within the next couple of months they will have a "LIGHT WEIGHT OFFICERS MODEL" in .45acp. Ruger is trying to send me to the POOR HOUSE!!!

Very nice 1911s. I'd have to carry that officer's model from time to time!

Vince,
What started as a small endeavor on Ruger Corp to create, catalog and capitalize on the 1911 model has turned into quite the lineup. I know you never imagined it going down this rabbit hole so quickly and colorfully. You are building a wonderful collection of SR1911's, here's to You & Ruger for sticking it out and continually moving forward with the product lineup.

Gene,

You are right, I never in my wildest dreams did I expect to own 32-SR1911's , all different models. except one. I stopped with the .45acp otherwise I would have a real problem with my wife, my safe and my bank account. I can think of a couple more Ruger may come out with but I hope they are down the road. My real problem is Ruger's distributors. If one of them wants say 500 SR1911 with Pink-Poke-A-Dots Ruger will make them up and then I stuck getting another one. Oh well the life of a collector. If it wasn't SR1911's it would be something else.

Vince you would look absolutely stunning with a SR1911 with pink polka dots... I am afraid Jay Dawg got the pink tutu that would match them... 32 of them is a heck of a collection! Looking forward to seeing you again next year in Ohio
