Finally got to really look it over. Great job done by all involved! Now I must ask. . . what is the story behind the "Ring of Freedom Gold Jacket"?

I am not the best one to explain about the Gold Jacket. There are very few of these; they result from a Company having donated over a $1,000,000 to the NRA. Larry Potterfield of Midway has one and Mike and Chris. Mike has been and is a big supporter of the NRA-ILA. He has been after several members of our group to make a serious contribution to the NRA-ILA for his Gold Jacket. Mike retired the week after NRA. Mike and Dave stepped up and made the contribution to the NRA-ILA for the Jacket!
If either of them want to add to this, it is up to them.

And once again congratulation to Dave and Mike for putting up a fantastic winning display at the NRA.
Bill is right, we should try to have an entry for the Silver Medal every year. It would be a great help if we could get a little help from the Ruger factory. Without factory verification it is almost impossible to win.
I also agree that we should continue with the Summer and Winter report. It keeps members abreast of what ROCS is doing and/or planning.

Kelly looks great, the rest of you so so. Waiting patiently for mine to arrive, I'm in Pa for the summer.
