I've been clipping Ruger magazine ads since about 1976. I met a guy at the Houston Gun Show about that time. He had a 3 ring binder with Ruger ads from American Rifle magazines. My ads are in 4 or five binders. Comes in handy for research or just to look at on a slow day. Pictured here are some of the magazines I collected those advertisements from, beginning with Aug. 49 thru the 70s. A lot of these magazines are no longer in publication.

I love that Don! Cool spread. Are there any issues with me continuing to post these? Coming from the biology/ecology fields I understand citing sources and hope that's enough to avoid any possible troubles. Please, others chime in with some goodies too!

Also, it's hard for me to consider clipping but I really like the idea of easily flipping through a binder. I tend to leave the magazines whole, however, combing through for information can be difficult. Hmmm. My mother has been known to scrapbook....

Here's a couple of magazine ads you don't see very often.

This Ruger .357 Flattop was featured in a 1984 GUNS magazine.

I have a 3 ring binder with all the NRA American Rifleman ads from 1949 until the 1980's. I have the magazines from the 70's to date. Excellent reference info.

I have an amost complete set of Gun Digest going back to the end of WW2 up through the early 2000's. Also have quite a few Shooter's Bibles from the same era. They are a treasure trove of information. I sometimes take one and page it through just to learn what is in there. It's a good way to pass some time

Wouldn't it be nice to have those ads, all in a single book?

Yes, all in a single book would be great!
