Nice assortment of grips, and one awesome deal....as noted above the JayScotts in pic #1-2-3 are possibly what the boxes may be labeled, picture #4 the top 5 pair of wood grips are factory double action action (SecuritySix vintage) and the larger target wood grips look like factory oversize Sec Six if there are Ruger medallions in the grips, if a silver eagle, then they are Sile ( Sile had them made either way) and in picture #5 the black rubber grips are factoryy Security or Speed Six ( if they are for the round butt guns) and looks like the same target grips from picture #4......again, nice catch and like Ron said some of those early round top Security Six grips for the 150 series are hard to find these days.............

note, the Jay Scott grips usually are marked on the back side with a model number and what they fit in case the boxes are different than the grips in the box...they do get switched around over time.

Thanks, RugerGuy! My room is a bit disorganized at the moment but now you've got me interested in other markings. I dug these back out and will get some more in-depth box photos and other markings. To start, The larger "wood" grips in the box are not factory nor wood! They were made by Rogers and are labeled as a Combat Grip. They look like they would be comfortable. In the photograph with the Ruger SS sticker, there is a Colt Python sticker directly underneath of it. I could see it in the light of the camera but it may not come through in photo form. Will slowly work on the rest.

One more. They are marked inside!!! These are Jay Scott, I can't fully read the product description due to the sticker but I believe they are Pearlized White. No. 62 for the Ruger Security Six.

The last set for the day. I apologize for blowing up the forum with posts. I'm bored, the wife is shopping and I'm looking through Ruger stuff waiting for the Army/Navy Game to come on. These are also Jay Scott No 62 for the SS. These are _______ Black Pearl with a blue box. The others were in a maroonish box. Every time I look at them the pearl has a haze on it. It easily buffs off with a lens cloth but always comes back. They were almost white from the hazing when I acquired them. Really pretty when clean.

Thanks, guys and good morning!

I thought I'd start the day off with some zebra wood. Some pun intended.

Jay Scott No. 61 Zebrawood for the Convertible SS XR3 357 Magnum with blue box. It says RX3 but I'm taking that as a typo. The insides of these are stamped but the wood didn't take the ink very well.

I realize that all these Jay Scott grips aren't factory but once I got started documenting them I just kept it going. Here is another set of Laminated Black Pearl for the Super Blackhawk No 60's. Like the black pearls above these were almost white when I got them. With a very fine lens cloth, I slowly buffed them to this state. That wasn't very long ago and tonight when I pulled them out there is a slight haze on them again. Easily buffed off but can someone tell me how to better protect these for storage? Screw didn't make it into the photo and this set didn't come with the guarantee paper.

Another set of Jay Scott #24A for the Bearcat....I think laminated white. A different box and it's a two-piece. The guarantee is green vs. red.
