Re: ROSS Memorial Award
Lee, I appreciate the correction and understand the distinction. I enjoy receiving new Digests and learning what I can. They are a great reminder that I don't know anything about Rugers. The Digest is very high quality in both informational content and photography and I appreciate the effort that goes into it. I did promise that I'd write an article on my weekend with the Chief. When would you need that by? I've been busy preparing for Tulsa but can put some time into it if your deadline is approaching.

The deadline for our next issue of the Digest is not until January 31, 2018. Let me know if you have any questions. Brass Frame

Re: ROSS Memorial Award
A local gentleman who was an RCA member from approx 1982-1998 gave me his old RCA Journals from that same date range. It appears that since the ROSS award was given for an article written in the previous year that Chief AJs 1987 Ross award was given to him for an article written in the Summer 1986 Journal. This article is Titled "The Great Cowboy and Indian Gun Trade" and is about Roy Rogers and Chief AJ exchanging gifts in the tradition of the old west as we've probably all seen in an old western movie. Maybe even one Roy himself was in. Chief AJ exchanged a colorful Pawnee blanket and Pawnee Scout for an engraved Roy Rogers Commemorative Six Gun presented in a black walnut case.
