IIRC, Sile made the oversized (Target) grips for Ruger but I don't think the OEM " RLG - Oversized Walnut Panels for Security Six" were marked with the Sile name. They, Sile, also made them for sale (via mail at that time). A number of years back Ruger cleared them out of their warehouse and you could get a box of 6 pair for under $50, Single pair were $8.95 IIRC I bought a box of 6 plus a few extras to have on hand. The box of 6 came in a Ruger marked box. I'll try to remember to get pictures to post.

Mine is stamped "Made in Italy" on the inside of each. Seller said they were old stock packaged in bulk.

Nice snag!
Seeing that it is one of the over run revolvers it will not have the NYCPD "Star" on the frame.
Now you need to find one of the revolvers that went to the NYCPD,,

the hunt never ends

.

I've got a nice GS-83 with the "star" so I'm going to call it good enough. But you're right, enough is never enough and the hunt never ends.

Here's a pic of a couple pair that have no markings on them.
