johncdougan wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2026 8:18 am Hello Guys,

Below are captions from an article in RCA JOURNAL Vol. 34, No. 4

Faulk’s Collector Service was authored by Jim Cale aka Eaglebeak. Includes narrative and original cartoons drawn by Rik Vallegos, 16 issues May 1980 – Feb. 1984. Chad Hiddleson assumes Faulk’s and renames it Ruger News Exchange, 4 issues May 1984 - Feb. 1985. The name changes to Red Eagle News Exchange with the May 1985 issue, this final version is still published quarterly.

regards, John
No. Faulks Collectors Service was done by Bud Faulk of Grandville, Michigan. Jim Cale's Rugermania albums were completely different.
Faulk's Collectors Service ran from May 1980 through February 1984 for a total of 16 issues. At that time Bud gave up the business and the work was carried on by Chad Hiddleson who first titled his publication Ruger News Exchange. The introductory issue was May 1984. After a cease and desist letter from Ruger for trademark infringement for using the name Ruger, after four issues it was renamed Red Eagle News Exchange. We just finished up our 43rd year.

and Thank you Chet 15...I was just looking at Lauras set upstairs from those first issues and starting the 1984 ones, lots of neat stuff, but now memories, she does not know any of it any more, sad :(
...kind of looking for that original decal, buried in all her "stuff" up there....

Hello,

I stand corrected, I got mixed up. Chad is right, he was there.
