I will be sending a few items for the fund raising myself. Drink a couple for the Watertender as I am on the wagon until after Chemo is finished in December. Coors Banquet Beer and Kessler's Whiskey are the approved Watertender libations. Have a shot and beer for me!

I have a new found respect for those of you who display ever or often. There is a tremendous amount of preparation involved with this. I'm basically building two displays. One of them is almost finished. It is "mocked up" on a table. Once it's finalized I plan to break it down/setup a few times then begin on the second (only have one table to practice on). The other display I'm having a hard time with. There are so many little things and oddball shaped items that I'm not quite sure how to display them in a secure way, organized and labeled properly. I'm very worried about sticky fingers more than anything....

RocDoc, A recently defunct large sporting goods chain had several used long guns walk out the door from a display table in their store. I know of it happening in at least 3 of their stores in 2 States. Thieves are everywhere

At least in Tulsa we have curtains on metal rails, a fence of sorts seperating the public from our displays. It is set up about 3 - 4 feet out front.

Chuck,
On your small items like patches, fliers, or any flat item I cover them with a piece of plexi-glass. (inexpensive at the local hardware store.) On items that don't lay flat, pins, ect., I try to mount them on a piece of wood, cardboard, even plexi-glass. This also makes it easy to mount vertically. It also makes my setup easier and keeps like parts together as well as protecting them from being snatched.

Give it some thought, it works for me.

We sure hope everyone can make it to Tulsa. If you plan to attend the Awards Banquet Dinner on Saturday night, if you haven't already we would sure appreciate you buying your tickets in advance. It really helps us get a head count to tell the Embassy how many people are attending. Thank you in advance for helping us out.

I will send a check today for my banquet ticket. I'd hate to miss it. Always a good time had at the banquet/auction. I hear there will be some very interesting items in this years auction.
