Cole Agee letter...

The letter mentions the John Amber Single Six.....know if I could only get the gun to go with the letter...well a guy can dream RIGHT ? RR

What a treasure. You guys have all the cool stuff!!!!

That John Amber Single Six was described to me as "it is what it is". I thought that it was beautiful when I was graciously allowed to handle it. I wished I had white gloves with me that day. It would probably be the last to leave his collection if I had to venture a guess. It's interesting to see the way that the grips on that gun have aged. On the 1954 8th Ed. Gun Digest they appear to be off-white. Today, they are a beautiful even shade of yellow.

Good for you! I recall holding that gun at the NRA Annual Meeting when John displayed the first time.........History in your hands, Rod! 8-)
