It is always interesting when something like this is found many years after this very limited run was made. This is what makes it so fun to find and collect for me. If someone has more information on these as to the total number made and serial numbers. If you look at the pictures of the left side of the receiver with the special markings for the Green Beret that these are a very rare marking. I can not recall any other 10/22 receivers with factory markings other than the standard markings. The Green teflon coating is the only special coating that I can recall Just when you think you know about everything about what you collect something different is found. Just think if the special stamp would be found that marked the receiver. Would this not make for a very interesting display

Charlie, in the link that you posted it says that this was a 6 gun consecutive SN run.

Picked this up from my FFL yesterday and wanted to post for all to see.
All of my collecting experience comes from Numismatics and counterfeits of rare coins is something the hobby fights constantly, so I was a bit learey about this one. Talking to Charlie he told me "you can't fake a serial number" , so I bought it. All the metal pieces, butt plate, barrel band, trigger housing, receiver & barrel are coated green.
The receiver has NO Ruger markings and the GREEN BARET is hand stamped with individual letter stamps as they are no all lined up perfect.
This would be a big red flag for me, except for the documentation I got with the gun. The seller says he is in communication with Ruger and they will be sending a COA to him which of course he will forward to me.
He originally bought it on GB in 2012 from Ruger as shown by the invoice and auction listing he sent me.
Any and all opinions and input are welcome.
JAY
