I have been so involved in collecting the new Ruger SR1911s that I have neglected my primary interest, the OLD MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWKS. I was sorting out some of my gun pictures and came across these. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing a fine example of rare 6 1/2" Super Blackhawk with its original box with the 7 1/2" marked out.
Th SRs are nice but the Supers are works of art!

WOW!
Very nice.
You wouldn't want to slide this over in to the Classified section would you
Cheers,

That is incredibly beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I don't know much about the Supers but the trigger, loading gate, and trigger guard immediately caught my eye. That, and it looks as if it just shipped. It makes an impression for certain.

Very nice! In all my years of being a Ruger fanatic, I never seen one in person. I knew they existed, just never seen one! You have an outstanding example sir.

A truly great gun! It seems to my fading memories, that long ago at a Arizona Arms Assn show, we agreed that any serious collector carried a tape measure and picked up every Super Blackhawk one came into contact with, to determine if "IT" was one with the "missing inch"

Fond memories, Vince

Splitz,
Go back into your memory, a long long time ago, you were at Jensen's gun shop in Tucson when I picked this gun up. You asked if you could see it and you actually handled it. I got real nervice when you cocked it!

That was long before I really knew that you knew what you were doing.

And that you were way ahead of me in the Ruger collecting game.
Memories of a time long past.
