Beartcat Rosewood grip

Does anyone know how many Bearcats were originally sold with Rosewood grips w/o the emblem?

Probably about 60,000 or so. They changed to walnut with medallions at the end of 1963/early 1964.

those early grips were not 'rosewood', but of a 'polymer' resin, similar to Colt Wood, and I recall Ruger called it "Wonderwood"........
